Brenda Engelhardt is
Early in her career, Brenda learned how to stand toe-to-toe and talk truth to power. Over two decades as a teacher, Brenda used those same strengths to empower her students and support their growth and success. These efforts have made Brenda a true “person of the people” and that’s why she is so eager to serve on the Kane County Board.
Brenda believes in a strong, fair and efficient government. She agrees with USHistory.org which says: “Governments provide the parameters for everyday behavior for citizens, protect them from outside interference, and often provide for their well-being and happiness.” She wants to be part of a positive, collaborative and productive local government that truly works for KC residents. It’s time we returned to fact-based, fair and principled government in Kane County. There’s no room for half truths, fear-mongering and intolerance. If you agree, vote for Brenda Engelhardt for District 14 representative.

A vote for Brenda is a vote for maintaining our beautiful county and offering opportunities to all.
Brenda’s years in education sharpened her commitment to mental health services for our young people. For more than 20 years, Brenda has seen firsthand a steady rise in student anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. These issues contribute to truancy and behavior problems.
Brenda believes that awareness of mental health issues is the first step in reducing the stigma so that more people will reach out and get the help they need.

“Mental health impacts how we feel, think, and manage daily life. Caring for it helps us handle stress, build relationships and make better decisions. This is a top priority for me. With the right supports and services, Kane County can be even healthier and more welcoming for everyone.”
